As anybody who knows Claire Carmody can tell you, she is a very special young lady. She loves music, cats, cooking and Teen Wolf! Claire was born with William's Syndrome. In Claire's case, this also includes pulmonary and aortic stenosis in her heart.  When Claire was three years old, the doctors tried to relieve the pressure in her heart, but the arteries were too narrow, and the surgery never took place. Now that Claire is 15, her arteries have grown enough to relieve the pressure. As Claire explained to her health class at school, "It's time to go fix the tubes!" Claire and her parents, Jen and Aaron, are currently on thier second trip to St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Last week Claire had successful balloon catheterizations on her pulmonary arteries.  On Tuesday, February 20th she will undergo open-heart surgery to repair her aorta. The next procedure, which will take place in a few months, involves more balloon catherterizations and yet another trip to St. Louis for the family.  We are hoping to raise funds to defray some of the expenses the family is incuring during their multiple trips and extended stays in St Louis.  Thank you so very much!
