Remembering Lawrence Chudi Ibekwe
Donation protected
Our brother, Lawrence Chudi Ibekwe, was tragically taken from us on the morning of August 19, 2016—two weeks before his and his twin sister’s 25th birthday. Anyone who knows Chudi, knows he was full of energy and knew how to have a good time and truly enjoy life. Everywhere he went his presence took over the room, with his bright smile, jokes, and booming voice. His “joke times” and social commentary on Snapchat (often ranging from ridiculous to unexpectedly insightful) was the highlight of many people’s day.
Chudi was a young and ambitious Computer Systems Engineer who started his own IT business and secured a full-time job before he even finished his bachelor’s degree. Chudi truly had a bright future ahead of him, and is extremely loved by his many friends and extensive family. His absence makes the world feel a lot less joyful, but God has called him home for a purpose.
This GoFundMe account is to assist with the memorial and funeral expenses as well as other financial responsibilities. His sudden passing has left the family with a significant financial burden so donations, no matter how big or small, would go a long way and be greatly appreciated.
We would also like to use this space as a place to share memories/thoughts of what Chudi meant to each of us. Please feel free to share your memories of Chudi and/or send your thoughts and prayers to our family and friends.
Thank you and God bless you,
