Hello! My name is Ana Begley and I’m starting a Go Fund Me page to help one of our local Moorestown family, Christy Matthews and her son ,Shane. He was involved in a terrible bike accident on 9/12/2023. He was taken to Cooper Trauma Hospital for 8 days and spent 2 nights in the ICU. Shane sustained a concussion , small brain bleed and fractures to the left side of his face. He was transferred to Weisman Rehab for 5 days to undergo intensive therapy. By the grace of God and all the prayers , love and support they received , Shane finally came home on 9/24/2023. He is doing much better now and it’s a miracle! Shane is improving each day and the doctors are so happy with his progress. His road to recovery will include at least 6 weeks of therapy at Weisman Rehab , 4-6 weeks of homebound instruction for school and many doctor appointments.

Christy has been by his side during all this and she will continue to be there for any of Shane’s needs. Since she has not worked since the accident and she will not be able to return to work for a total of at least 9 -10 weeks, I would like to raise money for them to help offset the cost of lost income and any medical expenses so she can continue to give her son every opportunity to a full recovery from this accident. We are grateful to live in such a caring and loving community who never fails in assisting those in need.
