Our 6 y.o. grandson, Christopher (Scoot) was suddenly diagnosed with pineoblastomia (brain tumor) in January.  He spent 4 weeks in the hospital in Springfield undergoing 4 surgeries.  He is now traveling to St. Louis for 10 weeks of radiation and then will be going thru chemotherapy after that.  His dad will have FMLA but no income while staying there with him.  We have been able to arrange stay at Drury Inn at a decent rate, however, it will still be over $400 a week and that will not include the gas, food or any medical bills.  At this point, his Missouri Medicaid has not been approved.  We have helped and will continue as we can, however, it is going to be a long and tough road for everyone.  We understand these are tough times and a LOT of people have helped us make it this far.  Any assistance people feel they can help would be greatly appreciated.  And if all you can do is pray, that is all we ask.  Prayer is the most powerful medicine. 

Scoot is a tough little man and has been amazingly strong thru all of this.  He loves to play UNO and loves his family.  He has a younger brother who is his best friend.  We know God has held him in his hands during all of this and will continue to do so.
