Hi everyone,
This Christmas, I’m reaching out for help to bring some much-needed joy and connection to my family. As a single mom of three and small business owner, this year has been one of the hardest we’ve faced. Between financial challenges and the loss of income due to the Canada Post strike, making ends meet has been difficult, let alone creating a meaningful holiday for my kids.
What We’re Hoping For
More than anything this Christmas, I wish my children and I could be reunited with my family and friends out west. It’s been such a heavy year, and I know being surrounded by love, laughter, and the warmth of those who mean the most to us would bring much-needed healing and joy. It’s been more than four years since we’ve been able to hug them, and I would love to finally lay my mother’s ashes to rest.
The cost of four plane tickets from Ottawa to Calgary is out of reach for us right now, but this trip would mean the world to my kids and me. It’s not just about the holidays—it’s about reconnecting, healing, and finding hope for the future.
How You Can Help
Your support will help cover:
-Four plane tickets to Calgary for my children and me to reunite with family and friends.
-Winterizing our vehicle with new tires and brakes for safety on icy roads.
-Small Christmas gifts and traditions to bring some magic into our home.
-Covering essential bills to help us find stability as we move into the new year.
This season is about love, connection, and generosity, and I’m so grateful for any support you can provide. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our story, it means the world to us. Thank you for helping us bring a little Christmas hope back into our lives.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kandyce
