Hello everyone,

My name is Yeniffer, and I am the founder of the Cusimaky Educational Project, a program I started with a lot of love in 2015 for the children of my neighborhood in San Jerónimo, Cusco – Peru.

Our dream is for children from low-income families in our community to enjoy a happy and fulfilling childhood. How can a child be happy? It’s simple: with safe, clean, and comfortable spaces where they can do their homework, paint, play with other children, enjoy a ball, or spend a fun afternoon with our volunteers, whom they affectionately call “uncle” or “aunt.”

Every afternoon, children come to Cusimaky to forget, for a few hours, the difficulties they face at home. Many have experienced physical or emotional abuse, sadly common and hard to overcome in Latin America. But as the saying goes: “Many small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world.” This small but meaningful work has brought joy to the afternoons of the children in San Jerónimo for over 10 years.

At Cusimaky, our goal is to provide quality education and emotional support, because only through education and respect can children break the cycle of poverty. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, who come from different countries to share their love, patience, care, and understanding with the children. Thanks to them, Cusimaky continues to thrive and make a real difference in the lives of many little ones.

This year, we want to make Christmas truly special for the children of Cusimaky. Even small contributions of €5, €10, or €15 can provide a new gift, a special Christmas meal, the traditional Peruvian chocolatada con panetón, and a festive show to bring joy to the children and their families.
