On July 27th, Christina suffered a sudden, tragic medical event that required her to be airlifted to a tertiary care facility, where she is currently receiving care in the ICU. As a result of the circumstances, Christina was placed on a ventilator and on a device that takes over the function of her heart and lungs (ECMO). As you can imagine, her parents, boyfriend and best friend traveled across the country immediately to be by her side.

A MealTrain was first established to provide gift cards and/or meals for the out-of-town team supporting Christina during her time in the hospital. Within less than a day, we received more than enough donations and gift cards to achieve that goal, and we could not be more grateful.

Moving forward, we have decided to create this GoFundMe to focus on Christina and the needs that she will undoubtedly have throughout her continued hospital stay and the long road to recovery.
