Christina Berndt’s Surgery Expenses
Donation protected
On the morning of Sunday, June 12th, Christina was preparing to return home from a trip out of state when she had a sudden seizure. Her husband, Scott, immediately called an ambulance, and Christina was rushed to the nearest hospital. Doctors discovered that the seizure was caused by a tumor that was putting pressure on her brain. A second brain tumor was shortly discovered thereafter.
Christina was given steroids to reduce the swelling in her brain in order for her to return home to Tennessee where she would need immediate surgery. At this time, one tumor is inoperable due to its depth and location. Christina will receive chemotherapy in an effort to bring that tumor to an operable state.
We are currently awaiting further information on Christina’s diagnosis and prognosis. Based on scans, her doctors believe that the tumors were caused by previously undetected breast or lung cancer.
Christina and Scott are committed to fighting this battle together, while at the same time continuing to be the best parents and maintaining as stable an environment as possible for their two children, Ethan (11) and Brookelyn (8).
Please consider making a donation to alleviate the financial strain inflicted by this unexpected hardship. Any amount is appreciated and a true blessing to their family.
And please keep Scott, Christina, Ethan, and Brookelyn in your prayers as they navigate the difficult road ahead.
