I am a furloughed bartender at Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto. My educational background is in Fashion Design. I am currently back behind the sewing machine making enviro-friendly, reusable cotton masks to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. I am using all the cotton fabric I have in storage but will be running low on materials in the near future. I am looking for donations to be used to purchase fabric, materials and to cover delivery costs to private individuals and local Healthcare facilities throughout Toronto and the GTA.100% of funding will go towards this initiative and Sunnybrook Health Centre. The masks will be donated to help protect those most at risk including but not limited to; homes for the elderly, non-urgent healthcare staff as well as hospitality industry staff to help prevent community spread. The mask design includes a 2-layer design with a pocket designed to insert an additional filter and a space for replaceable and moldable nose contour wire.
Masks for personal use can be purchased for $20 each or 3 for $50 and are available in sizes for MEN, WOMEN/TEEN, and CHILDREN. These purchases will aid my ability to donate further masks.
If you are not in a position to donate at this time please forward this message to anyone who might.
I would hate to know that anyone wasn’t able to protect themselves due to financial strains, so please email me to discuss options to get you some masks.

Thank you, in advance for all your support.
