Please help Chris beat a very rare type of brain cancer
Chris is battling a rare type of brain cancer that has metastasized to his spine. Because he will need treatments outside of his medical insurance coverage in order to have a fighting chance at life, I have created this fundraising page for him. We thank you so much for any donation you can give and for any prayers and positive thoughts sent our way.
Chris is loving, giving and always puts others' needs in front of his own, making sure those around him are taken good care of. He is kind, caring and wonderful and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. It is time for us to take care of him.
On February 7, 2023, I took my husband, Chris, to the Emergency Room because he could no longer walk and he lost his memory and could barely speak. I thought he may have been having a stroke. The doctor ordered a scan of his brain and we got the devastating news that there was a huge mass in his brain and it was obstructing his cerebral brain fluid from draining and putting pressure on the memory, balance and breathing areas of his brain. The neurosurgeon performed immediate surgery in the ER room to release the pressure on his brain and drain the fluid. The next day he had emergency brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they could. They were only able to surgically remove about 50% of the tumor safely without putting his life at immediate risk and/or subjecting him to a life without memory and/or the ability to walk. A further scan of his spine a couple days later revealed the cancer spread to his spine. Chris now has to do several different types of treatments to have a fighting chance for his survival.
