Honoring the Life and Legacy of Chris Donald

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and beloved SNPhA family member, Chris Donald, who peacefully transitioned after a courageous battle with breast cancer on July 1, 2026.

If you knew Chris, you knew she was the heart of every room she entered. From 2016 to 2023, Chris served as the dedicated Executive Assistant of SNPhA, working alongside Dr. Lewis to ensure the organization operated seamlessly. She supported countless national officers, coordinated travel, managed conferences, and handled countless responsibilities behind the scenes with grace, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to serving others. Simply put, SNPhA would not have been the same without her.

In July 2024, Chris was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout her journey, she faced every obstacle with extraordinary faith, courage, and resilience. Even after the cancer spread and she underwent intrathecal chemotherapy while enduring Bell's palsy and other difficult complications, Chris remained a source of strength, hope, and encouragement to everyone around her.

Above all, Chris was a devoted mother. In one of the most selfless and beautiful acts of love, just weeks before her passing, she officially adopted her daughter, ensuring she would always be surrounded by the love and security of family. Along with her young son, her children were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. Even while facing unimaginable challenges, Chris's love for them never wavered.

Chris dedicated her life to caring for others, often placing their needs before her own. Her kindness, compassion, and servant's heart touched countless lives and left an enduring legacy within SNPhA and beyond.
