It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved Chiquita…a devoted daughter, loving friend, and beautiful soul. Chiquita passed away unexpectedly from heart failure at UAB Hospital on December 16.

Chiquita was a proud graduate of Wenonah High School, Class of 1990. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and was crowned Miss Miles College. She took great pride in her accomplishments, but even more pride in the people she loved.

Chiquita was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and selfless love. She was the type of person who showed up for others without hesitation and gave from her heart. Her loss has left an emptiness that words cannot fully express, and our family is devastated.

We are asking for support during this incredibly difficult time to help with funeral and memorial expenses and to ease the financial burden on her mother, Delphine Holloway. Any contribution, share, or prayer means more than we can say.
