Chico's IVDD Surgery or Cremation

Donation protected
This is for my dog Chico, I've had him ever since he was a pup! He's 8 years old (I was 13 when we got him) and we got him and his siblings right before our mom passed away, He's the sweetest little guy you could ever meet and he's been my lifeline for as long as I've been blessed with him.

Maybe 6.. days ago, my sister and I noticed he was slowing down, not going up steps to my bedroom, or down the steps to go outside, he was slower than normal and my sister and I knew something was wrong.

My family is struggling to make ends meet, we have no consistent form of income due to my brother and I only recently finishing high school, my sister being too young to help and my dad struggling to pay the insane mortgages here in Toronto. I used up all I had just for his vet consultation.. just for them to provide a little bit of pain relief and tell us what we already knew, but finding out that the procedure and surgery amount to just over 12000? My heart shattered

He means more than life to me and we cant afford this, the only options we were presented with were euthanasia or surrendering him, but with the possibility of him not recovering and his separation anxiety he's more than likely going to be euthanized anyway with strangers around him. My only option is to put him out of his suffering with us around.. Please if you can sympathize, help us send him off well

I promise you he's worth every dollar, he's the most adorable pup that'll wake you up with his goofy face lookin over your pillow wagging his tail, he's the best part of my family and loved by everyone. I'm struggling to type any of this and I know there are people out there that would understand.

All of what's donated would go straight to his medical bills. I'll include some of the things I've taken of him to share his beautiful soul with you. I'll answer any questions the best I can

The first goal will be towards his cremation and other expenses, if its somehow passed ill bring it up towards his surgery goal but he's in so much pain as it is, I can't do this for long and If I'm being realistic, I just need to cover the cremation and aftercare. I ultimately want to give him the best final days with my sister and I by his side, I don't want this prolonged just for him to suffer on what might be a pipe dream, he's my little guy and he deserves the world and its only right to do my best to make it easier for him. Thank you all so much for helping me, thank you for giving chico a part of yourselves as well, he would love each and every one of you.

  • As of September 28th, Chico is doing AMAZING!! He won't regain full mobility as far as I know, but god he has powered through so much, hes hoppin around, shifting, hes even more mobile and silly, he's happy and taken care of and I'm so thankful that I didnt have to lose him! I want to keep this going to see if I'll ever save enough to get him his surgery, but he's doing tremendous and im so proud of him

Please, watch these and enjoy him. See why he's so important to my family, he's our entire world and I want him to live a fair, loving life. If you can spare anything it'd mean the world to us.
