Cheyenne and Luis - Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Friday night May 8, 2020 my daughter Cheyenne Covey and her boyfriend Luis Mendez-Baptista experienced an unexpected house fire after the trailer beside them went up in flames. As the fire continued to rapidly spread to my daughter and her boyfriend’s trailer, their possessions were destroyed and the home can not be salvaged or lived in. Thankfully, no one was injured in the fire, as of Luis’ children, they also reside in the home but were not present for the traumatic event.

I am reaching out to my community to ask for assistance in anyway possible. Victims of fires face tremendous costs & trauma. I hope this fund will help relieve some of the burden this family is facing. This was supposed to be a time to follow the shelter in place order, but now the family is without shelter to do so. Now they have a long and stressful road ahead of them to relocate and rebuild their lives. Any and all donations would be appreciated. Many thanks to the first responders, family, and those who donate.
