Grandma Debbie
Donation protected
Mom, grandmother, friend, and advocate to abused women as far as her heart can reach. Debra Reaves has been a busy lady here in Little Eureka Ks. Running our local S.O.S. helping women find shelter from abuse. Doing without herself, so that others do not. Chasing grandkids to 4-H. Doing everything from building pies, to bathing goats. She is always there if you need her. Now she needs us! After an injury herself from domestic violence 28 years ago, the injury has caught up with her. Herniated disks, degenerating disks, and scoliosis. Nov. 28, 2015 Debbie fell. She was hospitalized for several days after losing function in her right leg. She was sent home, on a walker, and could barely get around. The day after Christmas she fell again and was hospitalized again. Now she is in a wheelchair. And can’t care for herself. She has fought for a year to get insurance and has been refused. She can’t work, so she can’t get insurance. She has been refused Medicare. We have not given up trying to get healthcare. We can’t wait for the system to work with us any longer. We took her back to the dr. today to be told if she does not get surgery soon for her injuries she will be paralyzed. Our families New Years Resolution is to get Debbie on her feet, so she can continue to chase after her grandkids for many years to come. Thanks in advance to all. God Bless.
