Charlie's Dream Chair

Hi - My name is Chuck Hafner, and I love being outdoors.  I always have.  I won awards for swimming and wrestling in high school, and enjoyed going hunting, camping, hiking and fishing.  When I broke my neck at age 20,  those things became a lot more difficult to do, especially with a regular wheelchair.  Right now I can only go on paved trails.  The GRIT Freedom Chair would be such a dream come true!  I could go on rocky trails, through the woods, on the beach - places that are not easily accessible for a regular chair.  My friends wouldn't have to push me or carry me, and my quality of life would be so much better.  Insurance will not cover something like the GRIT Freedom Chair - only a basic chair.    The independence I could have with this specialized wheelchair would totally change my life.   If I could get the money by this summer, I could even go on the beach...for the first time in over 30 years.  I never thought I'd ever be able to wheel on sand, but the Freedom Chair can do it!  I am so grateful to you for reading and sharing my story.  Thank you so much for your support!
