My wee boy dog, Chaka, had to have emergency surgery to remove his spleen with a huge lump on it. He lost a lot of blood, needed transfusions and intensive care. He's an old man, 14, but still so full of life we had to give him a chance. Unfortunately though, he's not been insured because it got ridiculously expensive and full of exclusions with a big excess. I've been saving to cover the usual stuff but not something like this, so any help you can give would be so greatly appreciated. We don't know the full cost yet but likely over £5000 with the intensive care and transfusions. He really is a cracking wee dog, a comedian, sweetheart and vandal. Friends with so many people, he loves going to the pub! He's my wee boy and James's best pal. I adopted him from the The Dogs Trust when he was a year old. Any excess funds will go to them and the Dick Vet.
