Chad's Fight Against Cancer

On January 13, 2016, Chad Linkous was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, discovered in a lymph node on the right side of his neck. Squamous cell is typically a skin cancer, but can also be found in other areas of the body. After a PET scan was performed on January 22nd, it was determined that the cancer found in the neck was not the primary source and that there were several other "hot spots" around the same area, including the tongue, tonsils and areas inside his nose. Unfortunately, none of those other locations could be confirmed as being the primary source. Extensive testing and diagnostic surgeries will be required until the culprit is located, and, as you can imagine, they have been blindsided by this crisis.

Currently he and his wife, Maurene, are in Houston, Texas at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center trying to find the source of his cancer and establish the most effective treatment plan. The journey for this family will be a long one, but to all of us who know them, if anyone can conquer this, they certainly can!

The goal of this campaign is ease some of the financial burdens for  Chad & Maurene . They already have so many other things to worry about, and helping to ease their financial burden is one solid way to help from afar.
