Against metastatic cancer with my little brother
Hello, I am Sara and I’m looking for help for my little brother, Davide. He is 19 and was diagnosticated with cancer (Ewing Sarcoma) at age 17. He underwent chemoterapy for 6 months and had a massive surgery in Zurich to remove part of the tailbone, where the tumor was growing. Since april 2020 he was cancer free, until january 2021 when he had a relapse with a lung metastasys. He did chemo again for 5 cycles, without any results because as usual the cancer gets more aggressive when it comes back. Our best chance right now is a new and very specific drug that is available only in a clinical trial at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the US, where he is admitted in New York but the cost is prohibitive: 300'000 $ as a deposit to cover the first 6 cycles. The first results from the trial are promising, with a 47% response rate to the drug. We are asking for help as a family, and that’s why we want to do a foundraising.
Ciao, sono Sara e sono in cerca di aiuto per il mio fratello minore Davide. Lui ha 19 anni e gli è stato diagniosticato il cancro (sarcoma di ewing) a 17 anni. Ha fatto chemioterapia per 6 mesi ed ha avuto un grande intervento chirurgico a zurigo in cui hanno rimosso parte dell’osso sacro, dove il tumore stava sviluppandosi. Da aprile 2020 mio fratello è stato bene di nuovo, fino a gennaio 2021 dove si è manifestata una recidiva con metastasi polmonari. Ha nuovamente iniziato la chemioterapia, altri 5 cicli per circa 4 mesi, senza purtroppo nessun risultato tangibile dato che il tumore diventa più aggressivo quando “ritorna”.La nostra possibilità migliore in questo momento risulta essere un nuovo medicamento specifico che è ora nella fase 2 di un Clinical Trial negli Stati Uniti. Mio fratello può essere ammesso al Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center di New York ma il costo è ovviamente proibitivo: 300'000.--$ come deposito iniziale a copertura delle cure. I primi risultati del Trial sono promettenti, con un 47% di successo con questo nuovo farmaco. Chiediamo quindi a tutti voi un aiuto per la famiglia, e questo è il motivo di questa raccolta fondi.

Aber das Studium kostet rund 300'000 Franken, was für unsere Familie viel Geld ist, und wird von der Krankenkasse nicht übernommen. Ich bin seine Schwester und möchte meiner Familie helfen, indem ich finanzielle Unterstützung suche.
