Hi,
My name is Lauren.
I met my Fiance Jachin in December of 2012, and we have been pretty much inseparable ever since.
With 2020 came... Whelp, Co.Vid...
And for us, Cancer too.
We decided to take a chance on what we now call the "Trip of a Lifetime"... taking our truck and trailer across the country through 34 states.
I broke my heel the second state into our Journey, so I was pretty much useless as far as heavy lifting goes.
When he started to complain about his side hurting, I blamed my inability to help with the "Hard to Lift Alone" things.
After returning home, his side pain continued.
The day he went to urgent care, our lives changed Forever.
They told us it was Stage IV Cancer. They told us he needed emergency surgery, and the next day they told us that the surgery was unsuccessful, due to the location of the tumor.
Since then we have spent our days battling the cancer, and holding onto each other.
The cancer is terminal. Jachin will leave this relationship, his family & friends, and this life, far too soon.
Instead of a funeral, Jachin's biggest wish now is to have the opportunity to celebrate his life before he is gone. To have the chance to bring all of his favorite people together to share their best memories & funny stories while he is still able to remember and laugh, and be part of it all.
We are hoping to rent out a space where we can celebrate his life with Friends and Family around a Fire.
The money we raise will go to his Celebration of Life event with a dinner for all that can attend.
