Update 5/4/25.
Thank you to everyone who has shown Christy’s family love and support. Today at 12:40 p.m., Christy left this life to be with the Lord and embrace her mom in what I know was a joyful reunion in heaven.
I am deeply saddened that we won’t have any more girls' trips, spa days, shared adventures, or long, heartfelt conversations about life. But I am forever grateful for the beautiful friendship we shared. I will always cherish the memories we made together.
I feel truly blessed that Chip and Carrie allowed me to be by her side and hold her hand as she took her last breath. I will miss you more than words can ever express, Christy Mae!
All donations will go towards supporting Christy‘s family with funeral expenses, and outstanding financial obligations on her behalf. Your kindness and generosity during this incredible difficult time are sincerely appreciated.
Update 5/3/25
After reviewing the most recent MRI results, it has been confirmed that the damage caused by the infection is irreversible. In light of this, Christy‘s family has made the heartbreaking decision to discontinue ventilator support and transition her to comfort care.

4/30/25
Christy and I (Cassie) were college roommates, and we have become more like sisters through the years. She saved my life many years ago, so I would like to help her and her family out with the financial hardship they are enduring during these difficult times.
Christy Brigham has been in the Surgical ICU at St. Luke’s Boise since 4/25/25.
Back story: After Christy failed to show up for work on Friday, 4/25/25, or answer anyone's calls, her sister Carrie and dad Chip went to her house where she was found unconscious. After arriving at the ER, Christy was diagnosed with Haemophilus Influenzae Meningitis (Bacterial Meningitis). Over the next 3 days, Christy continued to decline and even suffered an Acute Ischemic Stroke. Christy is now on a ventilator and receiving only pain meds to keep her comfortable. Over the course of 3 days, the doctors put a shunt in to drain brain pressure; however, there was not much, so they have since removed it. They have done multiple MRIs and CTs, and minus the first and only stroke, there have been no changes. On Monday, the 28th, the doctors removed Christy from sedation in hopes that she will start to wake up and have some movement or responses to therapy and pressure points. Early Wednesday morning, 4/30/25, Christy had 2 seizures, and her temperature is rising, causing concern.
However, the doctors are optimistic and hopeful that she will start to show some improvement in the next few days after the sedation is completely out of her system. We are asking for any prayers and good thoughts for Christy. She is the BEST daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, and friend! Christy will have a very long road to recovery, and we are hoping to help ease some of the financial hardships her and her family will be facing in the coming months. #prayforChristy
