As many know, Shortly after thanksgiving of 2023 Debbie was diagnosed with an extremely rare and highly aggressive form of Brest cancer. Through the trials of the previous eight months, Debbie has faced a fair share of emotional warfare, stress, and tears... but nonetheless continues to face each sunrise with a mindset of a warrior. She continues to push through this battle in hopes to join the many of other women who stand with us today as survivors through their very own life-altering battles.

As this should come as no surprise, the hardships accompanying such unexpected and scary diagnosis are nothing shy of a stressor for both the fighter and their families. Debbie has, for years, poured into her surrounding communities, charities, churches, friends, and families near and far. As a woman with one of the most giving hearts for any person or group in need, it is an even larger challenge for her to face the idea that those surrounding her through the years can exemplify those very giving hearts through acts of service, love, and support towards her. Her loving heart STILL continues to give to those she meets in the chemo infusion waiting areas, treatment bays, and beyond; yet she still refuses to allow those who surround her and lift her up to give her the loving support that she so freely pours, even through her most difficult days.

Debbie has a general donation drive that has collected the love and support from so many of you, previously, and that is without doubt one of the very reasons she has been able to maintain her housing and utility bills, medical bills, and other necessary means of living such as warm meals and groceries. Although the journey has been only a long 8 months so far, those funds have supported the co-pays of over $1.1M in treatments, and without that support, those days would not be as easy to face. The hardships brought forth with this type of diagnosis is one of the leading causes of stress to families in these circumstances; causing those brave warriors to immediately stop working for income that otherwise would support their means of daily living for themselves, their families, and their household stability. The last thing any person should face when fighting battles like this are further stressors such as lack of proper nutrition, financial hardships, or lack of emergency resources.

The support of her loving community is a key component to her hopeful mindset to continue fighting this battle with a positive mindset and a smiling face.

This "Surprise Birthday Gift" drive has been created in hopes that the community of friends, families, and groups that have been impacted by the love and kindness from Debbie can join in this opportunity to pour unto Debbie in her time of celebration! As many of you know, Debbie does not like surprises or receiving gifts, as she prefers to be a giver... so this is our opportunity to replenish the hope, love, and support to our very deserving warrior.
