I am Lystra Celestine and I'm part of the Les Coteaux SDA group on WhatsApp. This group formed a year ago to reunite all persons who were previous members of the Les Coteaux SDA Church on the island of Tobago. Selwyn and Lenora were part of this group. We are grieving the loss of a Selwyn, a childhood friend and brother in Christ, our hearts bleed with pain to see him go. Lenora Chapman-Legal lost this amazing husband of 33yrs. This is what she posted on fb:

"What am I going to do without you? For 33 years you were by my side. Your were my traveling buddy, my best friend and the love of my life. And just like that poff and you are no more. Death is a horrible sting but thank God I have hope that I will see him again. Sleep on my loo."She lost him this morning to a terrible disease he had fought before and won, but today his fight is over. Today he can rest in Jesus.

 

Selwyn was always a very a loving God-fearing husband, father and friend/family to many . He was always smiling and never stopped laughing, even through his illness. He was an top notch contractor and was hard to beat in the game of draughts/checkers. He loved his family dearly and always put them first. It was natural for him to remained strong for his family and faithful to God during his sickness. Our hearts are grieving his passing.

 

We know how emotionally and financially difficult an illness and death can be so this GoFundMe is for all the people who loves Lenora and Shane and loved Selwyn and want to help but due to covid restrictions or distance cannot be close to them. Lenora and Shane and the rest of the Legall and Charles family have carried the burden of his illness all by themselves for years, lets help light the burdens of preparing for burial and living after losing Selwyn. The monies you donate will be use for funeral services and burial as well as to replenish their depleted resources used up over the years to find medical treatment for Selwyn. Your donation will help Lenora to be able to take time off work for healing and grieving. First Pray for them, then donate what you can, share with your friends by email and social media because you love them . Most importantly remember them and their family in your prayers.
