I have many attributes; fundraising is not one of them. Fundraising for myself, even more awkward. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I am asking for your financial support to enable me to participate in class 56 of the American Leadership Forum Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter . What is ALF Houston/Gulf Coast and why do you want to participate Gabe? Since I’m asking for your money, fair questions! From the ALF website:

American Leadership Forum Fellows and Senior Fellows broaden their perspectives, learn new skills, engage in dialogue and work collaboratively to help address our communities most critical issues.

Why I want In

• To expand my perspective

• To strengthen my leadership skills

• To bring to the table my lived experience as a queer, disabled Latino

• To build meaningful connections with people outside my network

In short, to grow as an advocate, a leader, and a person.
