To many cats!
Donation protected
Hi my name is Joyce. My husband is Eric. 8 years ago we we inherited a colony of barn cats when we moved to a property for a finacial scale down of life. The cats were suppose to be taken with previous owners but instead they abandoned them to us. There were 10 cats and we came with our 2.
Too make a long story short we believe that all cats should be spayed and neutered and have the basic essential of food three times a day and yearly vaccines. We spent time getting them all tame and thru live trap and low cost clinic have them all spayed neutered which is a good thing as there were 2 males and the rest were female!. Because we have a small pet board as a little retirement business and we have a pet sign at the road....we seem to be a target for people to drop unwanted cats off. We've inherited another 3 in the past two years that obviously arent feral as they are friendly and looking for human contact. As a animal lover how do you turn an animal away in the cold in the middle of no where.
We have provide all off these cats food warm shelter and yearly vaccine. They all co habitat nicely with no issues. They are safe with a barn and a heated mud room off the back of the house. They are all truly beautiful creatures each with their own personality. I never set out to be a crazy cat lady, honest!. lol ! Is just a case of I can not and never will knowing let animals suffer. This year my husband retires from not a career with pension but rather from a 25 hr job. We will be living on cpp and oas and small income from self employed pet care business. It gets harder and harder to keep up with rising cost and if we could raise funds to help cover some of the yearly costs on feeding and housing litter vaccine and yes I've covered vet care for treatments as well. We are so lucky to have a great vet at Wingham Vet services who know my dedication well and who still do yearly exam and vaccine for under 100 each. That's truly an amazing deal. If you want to donate here or you can even donate as a credit on our account at the clinic. I feel like a private SPCA here! Your small gift these animals is truly appreciated
