Carrie Melvin Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On Sunday, July 5th, 2015, Carrie Jean Melvin was senselessly taken from this world by an unknown perpetrator. The investigation is ongoing and the FBI have gotten involved. This tragedy has left her entire family and many friends devastated, praying for justice.
Carrie always had the ability to touch and inspire people from all different walks of life. Her charismatic nature allowed her to have many friends; she was a force to be reckoned with. Carrie shared her kindness, strength, creativity, thoughtfulness, and above all, her unyielding capacity for love and laughter, and we are all better human beings for having known her. This earth has lost an amazing individual who woke daily, determined to make the world a better place. Our beautiful Carrie has left a tremendous impact on everybody who lies in her wake.
The proceeds will help to fund memorial services in Hollywood, Santa Cruz and Morro Bay. After which, the remaining funds will be collected and used for a reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this tragedy. If we are successful with collecting funds, a scholarship in Carrie's name will be created for Film and Literature students (she had double majored at UC Santa Cruz in both subjects), and will be given annually. At the moment, our collection goal is $100,000.00.
Please give to this fund so that we may all celebrate her life as beautifully as she lived hers. We need to continue raising money towards a reward for information leading to the criminal, as well as the scholarship for Film and Literature students.
Thank you for your time in reading this and giving to a cause that will hopefully bring justice to Carrie and her family... as well as the many, many people that loved her and were loved by her.
