On Friday Morning 3/24/2017, tragedy struck when my sister Carolyn Black-Wells suffered a near fatal brain injury. Starting with major migraine symptoms, she fell quickly into a dire situation. She was rushed to the local hospital in her home town Paragould, Arkansas. Unable to care for her she was air lifted to St. Vincent’s in Little Rock.

 Being placed on life support and with a grim prognosis, Carolyn was rushed into surgery for what was quickly determined as brain hemorrhaging as a result of a rapid increase in blood pressure. The diagnosis is still unclear to the cause of such occurrence. Carolyn is currently in an induced coma with machine assistance with very limited response to anything going on around her.  The doctors at St.Vincents are doing all that they can for her but have been very clear that she is not out of the woods and is in a very critical and fragile state.

Still unsure of what may happen, she has been surrounded by her family with support. One of the hardest parts for the family is that most every one of us lives Michigan, making it very difficult and expensive to be by her side during this difficult time. The other grave concern we are facing is the reality that, heaven help us she pulls through, her need for help will most likely be a long term endeavor.
We are asking for help to allows family member such myself and her daughters to afford the stay so far from home to help care for our beloved Carolyn.
 Helping us financially will help afford the food, lodging and hotel that are needed to remain in Little Rock near the hospital. It will also help ease the burden for anyone that remains in Arkansas to assist when Carolyn Rae wakes up...and we know that tough bird will.
These are very difficult times for all of us and we ask if you are not able to help with a few dollars, if you could at least pray for this wonderful lady to return to us.
