Our family’s store suffered severe smoke and fire damage on the 17th, and while the building itself was spared, all of my father’s equipment, machinery, and perishable goods needed to run the business were lost. The building, which my father leases, is covered by insurance. Unfortunately, everything on the inside of the building is not covered by the insurance policy. We estimate our losses at close to $50,000 and humbly ask for your help in raising this amount so we can get the store up and running and our family back on its feet. The money we raise will be used for new equipment (refrigerators, meat grinders, slicers, and scales) as well as produce.
My father is a hardworking man who built his business from the ground up and is extremely passionate towards what he does. He is a selfless, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate man who always puts others before him. In addition to the many charitable causes he’s involved himself in for the 40 years he has been building his business in Santa Barbara, he’s also worked closely with Santa Barbara favorites such as Lito’s, Mayo’s, Rose Cafe, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and many others, providing meat, food, and other supplies.
Having your help in our time of need would mean the world to our family. We thank you for your generosity.
