Help Carmelite Sisters Build a Monastery in Vietnam
Donation protected
We are Carmelite contemplative sisters who live within the cloisters of our monastery in the Diocese of Alaminos, town of Burgos, province of Pangasinan in the Philippines. Since 2008, we have received Vietnamese young ladies into our community as candidates to the contemplative life. At this time they are now 7 professed members of our community. They came here so that after their formation, they would return to Vietnam to found a contemplative community there.
His Excellency, Most Reverend John Đo Văn Ngân, Bishop of Xuân Lộc, in the province of Đồng Nai, Vietnam is willing to receive this new foundation in his Diocese. In an exploratory visit to the Diocese of Xuân Lộc, we found out that we need to buy a piece of land where to build our monastery. The price of this property and the construction cost are much beyond our financial capacity: ₫9,000,000,000 VND (nine billion Vietnamese đồng) or ₱20,200,000 PhP (twenty million, two hundred thousand Philippine pesos) or $354,000 USD (three hundred fifty four thousand US Dollars).
It is for this reason that we humbly ask your support and prayers for this sacred undertaking. We are deeply grateful for any amount that you will give and the prayers you will offer for us. And we assure you of our prayers for you and your loved ones. Please inform us of your special intentions and we will surely lift these up before the divine altar of our God who is never outdone in generosity. We know that your donation to us will merit God's reward.
This effort will be managed by the Allentown Carmelite Monastery, in Coopersburg, PA
