Carly’s Funeral Flowers & Trixie’s surgery

Hi, this is Carly and Trixie,

Carly was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and undergone serveral types of treatment which seemed to work and we all thought she had beaten the Big C however…

It came back last year and Carly under went radiotherapy and chemotherapy.. Unfortunately her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes in her upper abdomen and chest and has gone to her liver. She was shown the scan images and was shocked at how quick this has taken hold, her liver is now full of tumours that weren't there when treatment started at the end of October 2022.

She is now incurable and has been given roughly 6 months to a couple of years, depending on if she responds to a brutal chemotherapy cocktail. These chemo drugs will be very harsh and she will lose her hair and other severe complications could arise. So I am sure you can agree that she needs to make as many memories and have as little stress as possible at the moment. However anyone that knows Carly even briefly knows how important her sausage dog children are to her (especially due to the fact that cancer treatments has taken her fertility in the past and now has destroyed all her female reproductive organs completely).

Trixie and Darcey are her two Dachshund’s.

Trixie woke up just before Easter 2023 struggling to walk. After rushing her to the vets she has been told that she has a problem with her hind legs and will need surgery which is estimated to cost up to 10k.

This has completely broken Carly and her husband as you can imagine. So we are trying to fund raise as much as we can to not only help Carly and Mark with the massive upcoming vet bills but also to have a little extra for Carly to make a few memorable moments with her friends, family and dog children.

Edit: Unfortunately shortly after setting up this Go Fund me page, Carly took a turn for the worse which no one expected and she was deteriorating at a catastrophic speed. 

Her liver started to fail as it was so full of tumours and doctors were unable to carry out any further treatment, all they could do was try and ease the pain which was also a struggle for them to keep up with. 

She tried to return home the last weekend of April 2023 as everyone still believed she had a number of weeks however sadly her pain was too intense and she returned to hospital where the consultant and nurses tended to her and did everything possible they could do but unfortunately on Wednesday she deteriorated further so her friends and family were called to her bedside.

Carly could hear them all, responding with subtle eyebrow movements as they laughed and spoke of all the silly things she would do and good times they had all shared with her, she also heard their tears and their sorrowful goodbyes and at 4am on Thursday 4th May 2023 she slowly but peacefully slipped away surrounded by loved ones.

We love you Carly !! And miss you terribly! 

We now need some extra help to give Carly the send off that she deserves so please dig deep and give what you can. And of course she requested sausage dog wreaths!! Funeral date is still in progress.
