On March 12, 2016, we welcomed a beautiful baby into this world. Carlos was born with a unilateral cleft lip and gum notch. Carlos has been seeing a specialist since birth to start the taping and molding process to help close the width of his cleft. He also has a nose stint to lengthen and form his nostril.

Carlos has pretty good insurance, BCBS of AZ. Unfortunately, insurance only covers 80% of his Specialist appointments and I am responsible for the other 20%. Carlos sees the specia list anywhere from once per week to once every three weeks. We are responsible for his copay of $35 per appointment and then the 20% that the insurance doesn't cover.

We are swimming in medical bills, and they are about to get higher. Carlos is scheduled for surgery on August 10, which will be costly.

Although we do not like asking for help, we have no choice. Any help that we can get towards his medical bills will help us.
