Caring for Kiki

Donation protected

Kiki is a mutt from ASPCA, she was found on the streets of Tennessee at 4 months old. We adopted her when she was 6 months and she is now a year and a half old. Earlier today (June 13th) she nudged her way out the door. While I was looking for her I heard yelping near my house. She had been hit by a car. When I saw her she was trying to run away on her two front broken legs. Her jaw appeared broken and mangled, blood was pouring out of her mouth. She is almost out of critical condition. Her jaw, which appeared broken, was okay. But the skin had been torn off of her face and needs to be stitched back on. The break in her front legs were clean breaks across the ulna and radius. The bones had torn through her skin. She needs pins or plates in her front legs asap. It is about $7000 dollars to fix both of her legs. For the medications and services already provided, plus her skin being stitched back on it is $3000 dollars. Kiki is young and we have hope she will have a full recovery, but the cost of all this is very close to impossible without help. Any amount of money will help to save Kiki. She is a part of our family and we would all be wrecked without her. She whimpers whenever we leave for work and school and when we get back she follows us around everywhere. She was wagging her tail when we last saw her, and the next time we see her we hope she will be wagging her tail again.
