My name is Casey, and I’m my mother Donna’s full-time advocate. I’m sharing her story because she deserves something she has gone two years without: justice and accountability.

Two years ago, my mom was struck in a serious hit-and-run accident that changed her life. The driver responsible admitted what she did — yet she was never charged. My mom has carried the physical and emotional impact of that day, while the person who harmed her has never been held responsible.

This has been incredibly hard for our family.

My mom is a loving mother, aunt, and friend who has always cared deeply for the people around her. She deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness — not ignored by the very system meant to protect victims.

Since the accident, we have searched for answers and tried to understand how a case like hers could be set aside. Cada time we asked for information, we were met with delays, silence, or no real explanation.
