Care for Ryan Donovan's dogs
Donation protected
After Ryan Donovan's unexpected passing, his dogs Lucy and Adam were left at animal control as the family is overwhelmed and unable to care for them. They are now in my care and I'm working on health checkups, boarding/foster care, and eventual adoption. I would like to honor Ryan by making sure Lucy and Adam are healthy, happy and placed in the right homes. 100% of the proceeds will go to vet care, boarding fees and supplies during foster rotations. The residual amount will go with each dog as an "adoption sponsor packet" so that all initial food and supplies are taken care of. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks to all who have inquired about their care...it is my top priority.
Update as of 3/27: Lucy on the left is currently boarded with a trusted dog walker in her home in SF, going on daily walks with her pack. Adam on the right is in my home along with my two dogs. Adam is being treated for severe ear infections and a growth on his elbow that will require surgery. He is a larger breed so we want to evaluate him further to see how he is with children, etc. before he is ready to adopt.
Update as of 4/2: Great news about Lucy! When Ryan and Tom lived in San Francisco their lovely neighbors Frank and Cecil used to dog sit and look after Lucy. Well we were able to make contact and they offered to adopt her! She was reunited with them last night. Frank and Cecil have another dog that Lucy knows and they split their time between SF and their second home in Guerneville. It was a fantastic reunion to witness. Thank you for your donations - the residual funds for Lucy's share went to Frank and Cecil and what they don't use for supplies they are donating to SFSPCA, where Lucy was first adopted. Couldn't be a better next chapter for Lucy, relieved is an understatement. Adam remains in our home and his ears are improving, his next check up is a week from today. We are working on desensitizing him to skateboards and scooters at the moment, and he loved his long hike in Half Moon Bay over the weekend.
Best,
Emily ([email redacted])
