Our home was just hit by a devastating storm that flooded both our house and sheds, broke down our fence, and destroyed our yard. We’re heartbroken and overwhelmed. So many of our belongings are ruined — soaked, warped, or swept away completely. Furniture, essentials, sentimental items — all gone in a matter of hours.

To make things even harder, we do not have flood insurance, so we’re facing this massive loss on our own.

We’ve been told the water mitigation alone could cost $10,000 to $20,000, just to clean and dry everything properly. Fence repair is another $5,000, and $6,000 for the land (it wiped away vital dirt/ground that has to be replaced) that’s not even counting the furniture, belongings from our shed, and the pool pump — all of which were damaged or destroyed in the flood. The total losses are overwhelming.
