Helping a guy purchase a car to get to work
Donation protected
From my husband Chase :
So this weekend I saw a guy walking down the road. I noticed he looked like a guy I've seen working at a local restaurant. So I turned around and picked him up and asked if he needed a ride. He said he would be grateful. I asked where to and he told me Ashford and I asked if it was at said restaurant and he said "yeah, I'm headed to work." Now this was on 84 in dothan that I picked him up. I said you're walking to Ashford from Dothan to go to work? He said yeah I walk back and forth to work almost every day. At least 5 or 6 times a week. I asked where did he live and he said close to downtown Dothan. So I'm asking him if he's doing it to get the exercise? And he says no, his motor blew up in his car and he still has to get to work.
So I'm amazed at this guy. With so many people out there who claims they can't work and perfectly capable, there's this guy who is so determined to work he walks from downtown Dothan to Ashford every day. He says he closes up about 10 or 11 at night then walks back home. I asked how long did it take him and he said it takes him a little over 3 hours. About 3 hours and 15 minutes. He said he was trying to get a motor to fix his car but after looking into it that he thought it wasn't worth it and decided he'll just save the money to try to get a cheap car. He said he could get another car for around $1000.
So this is what I'm asking. Will any of my friends be willing to help me out by raising some money to help him? I'm honestly floored of the commitment he has to work for what he has no matter the effort he has to do to get it. And after so much negative in this world, I'd love to just help this guy out. So would anyone like to help me raise some money?
