Hi, my name is Paige and my husband, Tim, and I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. A paradise and home to an increasing population of kitties. Last night, on our way home from Captain Cook to Kona, in the dark, our headlights spotted a tiny kitten on the side of the extremely busy road. Without hesitation, we pulled over to grab the little guy and get him to safety. When we got home and into some light we realized that poor thing had something wrong with its back left leg. Upon taking him to the vet in the morning, we found out he has complete fracture in his femoral bone. 

He is the sweetest little kitty and deserves a second chance at life. From just surviving to hopefully thriving, this little guys vet bills are slowly adding up, and we’re in need of a little help getting him the care he desperately needs. If there is anything you can spare and share during the time, Captain (the name we’ve given him), would be deeply appreciated the love and generosity. 

In the end, I’m estimating it’ll probably be close to $2000 to get little guy all taken care of. First appointment was $225, surgery is between $950-$1250 to get his leg amputated, and follow up appointment to ensure he’s healing well are TBD. 

The biggest thank you to Oasis Cat Clinic, specifically Lori, who has been so incredibly helpful from the very first night we found little guy, with keeping us calm to helping inform us on where to bring him to get the best care. She went above and beyond to make sure kitty got the best chance at life! As well as making us feel better about his condition. 

All funds will go towards Captains vet bills and all additional funds will be donated to Oasis Cat Clinic for any future kitties that might be in need.
