On Sunday, Sept 1st, 2019, Hurricane Dorian made landfall on Elbow Cay and Lubbers Quarters (Home of Pura Vida Cottages and Base of Operations for Barcelona Explorer). With Winds packing 180 to 220 mph, We, along with so many others, suffered catastrophic damages, to property, boats, tenders, motors, machine shop, parts shed, and tools, and extensive flooding that has washed away our home, and cottage, and all that we have mentioned above. This Devastation and Catastrophic Event has never been met on this level before.
We desperately want to get our businesses and Cottages Back Up and Running. We need to reestablish the Home Port of Operations for Barcelona Explorer, the equipment, and the extensive repairs and rebuilds of the structures.
This is a daunting task in itself, just in respect to the personal hard labor that is involved.
We are reaching out to our Friends, Guests, and Clients to please help us recover, so we may get back on our feet, rebuild, and continue the Charter Operations of Barcelona Explorer, and Pura Vida Cottages, which in turn, stimulates and contributes to the local economy by getting our operations up and running, and being able to help direct our efforts to also bring Guests and Clients back to one of the most beautiful places imaginable.
For those of you who have been here, you can attest to our dedication, service, and the beauty these Islands have to offer.
Please take a moment to help us rebuild what has been a dream vacation for so many.
