On December 9, Candace and José welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world. They were originally planning and preparing for a natural birth. However, Milan was breeched and they found themselves in the hospital delivering her via C-section. The surgery was a great expense for which they were not prepared. They are just thankful to have a healthy baby!
Just one week later, they found themselves in the hospital again. Candace had been complaining of headaches for two days and Jose decided to take her to the emergency room. The doctors informed them that they should thank God that he took her when he did, as her headaches were due to a hemorrhage in her brain. She is currently in Intensive Care at MUSC undergoing neurological testing to determine the cause of the hemorrhage. She has been fully sedated and incubated since entering the hospital days ago. They are waiting the results of her testing and signs of progress.
Candace and Jose lead a modest life. He is a general contractor and she's self-employed. Candace's swift return to good health is top priority. However, the financial burden to provide the necessary care for her is a concern. Honestly, Jose chose not to stress, but to put his trust in God. He has been praying and confessing that God is my way-maker and has always made a way. He is boldly standing on Proverbs 3:5-6 and will not allow his faith to be swayed. We know that his Heavenly Father has the FINAL diagnosis and he says Candace Is Healed!!! Jeremiah 30:17 "but I will restore you to health and heal your wounds" says the Lord and Luke 1:37 "for with God no thing shall be impossible."
