Cancer Treatment, Pay Bills & Daily Needs
Donation protected
Hi, Courtenay here. A lot of you know I've been struggling with cancer treatment, and have had some sets back as well as some very good results over the last few months. I was hospitalized in January for 14 days because a "little infection" went untreated and turned into a case of blood sepsis, a staph infection that was growing on the chemo port which was installed in my chest wall. I was fortunate, as this could have killed me. As it was, I had 24/7 dual antibiotics while in hospital, and when I came home, I was weak, could barely walk from bed to bathroom. I've never been that weak. I also had a picc line put in so that I could give myself daily IV push infusions of another antibiotic. All these antibiotics ruined my appetite, but allowed me to heal from the infection.
Once the sepsis was cleared, the doctors gave me a new CT scan and 2 MRIs to see if surgery was possible. Thankfully, the surgeon and the oncologist decided to operate on May 2nd. I've been unable to work for a good while because of the cancer treatments, the sepsis, and now, the healing process from surgery, the side effects of the chemo, weakness and neuropathy (pins & needles in my fingers and feet.) The up-side is that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are holding me together and I believe I will be healed for a greater purpose that God has planned.
I want to thank those who have been so kind and have helped so far, not only with monetary donations, but with their time and with bringing food. I sure do thank you all for every generous gift.
I will still need help for a while as I heal, and can't work.
If you're lead to consider helping me, I am thoroughly grateful for any amount. Every dollar is appreciated more than you will ever truly know.
Thank you so much!
