I’m creating this GoFundMe for my dad, James, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Our family is still processing the news, and we’re doing everything we can to keep him supported, encouraged, and focused on healing. But financially, things have become extremely difficult.

Before we even got the official diagnosis, we had already made several trips to the hospital and specialists trying to figure out what was going on. Those visits alone created medical bills we’re still trying to catch up on, and now we’re stepping into the actual treatment phase, which is even more expensive.

My dad was working as a bus driver, and he loved his job. When he started getting sick, he had to take time off for appointments and tests, and now that he’s officially on medical leave, it isn’t paid. Between losing his income, the bills from the hospital visits, and the cost of ongoing cancer treatment, we’ve reached a point where we just can’t keep up on our own.
