Horrific Car Accident Family of 4

Donation protected
At 10:00PM on Friday, April 17 2015 a dear family friend and his family were in a horrific car accident; Ryan Campbell, his wife Christy and two daughters Isabel and Sophia (ages 2 and 1 ). They were hit head on by a 29 year old woman that was speeding while weaving in and out of traffic. The driver crossed over the centerline as she came over a hill impacting this young family instantly. Thank goodness they were all wearing seatbelts and made it out alive! Unfortunately they were all injured.

Christy has suffered a badly injured ankle along with some severe scrapes and bruises all over her body. Both Isabel and Sophia were bruised terribly and scraped up as well. Ryan was driving and recieved the largest impact from the crash. He made a split second desicion to turn the car to take most of the impact and save his family. He has a compound fracture of his left arm, a compund fracture to his right thigh, a double compound fracture to his right shin (broken in over 7 different places!), is missing a large portion of the front of his shin which needed a flap and skin graft, a compound fracture of the left knee, and of course the many bruises and cuts all over his body as well. Ryan will need several different surgeries, pins, screws, and rods to put him back together and a lot of physical therapy after all of that is said and done; he will basically need to learn to walk again.

This family has a long road ahead of them. There will be many hurdles to come, emotionally, physically, and financially.  In the meantime all this young family of four can do is take one day at a time while they all heal and try to keep a positive outlook on their situation.

My heart sunk once I had found out what happened, and really wanted to help out in someway. Since I am not close distance wise to them, I can't offer to babysit, make meals or anything like that. I have seen a few people with GoFundMe pages set up by friends or family with similar situations in one way or another, each unfortunate and all completely out of their hands. I was amazed at the outpour of support that they recieved from all over.
I am making this page in hopes that we can all take a moment and put ourselves in this family's "shoes" just for a second. Life is hard enough when everything is going "right"...meaning we are all able to get up out of bed, go to work and provide for our family, and do all the little things we all take for granted. I know this family already has a very optimistic outlook and is focusing on the positive which is amazing considering what they have just been through. We all know it will be a long time before life is "right" again for Ryan and his family. Instead of going to work to provide for his family, Ryan will be focused on making a full recovery in hopes that he is one day able to get back to work to provide for his family. Now instead of two babies to take care of all day every day, Christy will have another...little bit larger baby to care for daily as well. ;)
We all know the stresses of life, and sadly the majority of that stress comes from finances. During this time this amazing families regular day to day bills will be significantly harder to manage, there will be much more to stack on top of that pile, with the endless amount of hospital bills to come, therapy, another car!, and you can imagine what else. I know if it were my family in thier position my head would be spinning with worry.
So let's all try and chip in what we can to help this young loving family out during this unimaginably devistating time that they are and will continue to go through for an unknown amount of time. Ryan is the type of man to give the shirt off of his back if you said you needed it, and the lord knows he and his family would do the same for you if the shoe were on the other foot. No contribution is too little, its the thought, the effort, the love that goes with it that matters. I hope we can all make this long road a head for this family just a little bit easier.  And if you can't, please share this page to get the message out. Let's pull together to help them out! Thank you so very much, God bless all of you!
