SABURA Youth Programs

Welcome to the SABURA experience! SABURA means fun, joy, and the indescribable emotion that accompanies satisfaction. S.A.B.U.R.A. is Student Ambassadors Bonded Under Recreation & Achievement. Our project offers summer and school year youth programs, grounded in the Kriolu culture of Cabo Verde and the multicultural community of Brockton. Founded in 2009, we sought to provide a positive, sustainable solution towards empowering youth and ending youth violence. We succeeded! Now we're seeking to expand and we need your help! We need funds to sponsor students, secure a new space, and hire additional staff. The program will serve 120 youth, ages 4-24, M-F, 9am-3pm (with special field trips on Friday's). It also features guest speakers/role models, special activities such as martial arts and dance, crafts and community service. Tuition is $200 per child for 6 weeks--making ours one of the most affordable programs around. PLEASE help this innovative Kriolu cultural youth program and feel the rewards & the SABURA!!!
