Oudom Chan Cambodian Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Evan, I live in Australia and my late father, Issy, lived in Cambodia for the past 12 years helping to build schools that offer educational opportunities to Cambodia’s rural and often remote populations. We have been sponsoring a bright young Cambodian boy, Oudom, throughout his high school and University education Oudom was a hard working, diligent and caring human. Always achieving the top marks in his class.
Issy promised Oudom that he would send him to Israel to further his studies in vet science so that he could learn from the Israeli’s and bring back to Cambodia knowledge to help his own people. Issy passed away 4 months ago, but we fulfilled his promise and just 2 weeks ago Oudom excitedly arrived in a kibbutz near the Gaza border to start his studies.
On October 7 Oudom’s life was senselessly stolen by Hamas terrorists. Oudom wished no harm to anyone, he was the victim of indiscriminate hatred and violence.
We are raising money in Oudom's name and honour to create the “Oudom Chan Cambodian Scholarship Fund”. 100% of all funds we receive will go directly to education fees for underprivileged Cambodian students.
Please help as best you can, to leave a legacy for a beautiful young man who had his young life so unfairly stolen and to help us to continue to help disadvantaged Cambodian children reach their potential through a proper education.
My family are personally kickstarting this cause with $5,000
To Oudom, I hope you rest in peace my friend, wishing your family a long life.
With much thanks and love, Evan for Oudom
