Calling Erika's Village

In February 2018, Erika was excited and ready to welcome her second child into the world.  In her 37th week of pregnancy she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Erika proceeded to deliver a healthy baby boy and shortly thereafter began chemotherapy to begin to shrink the size of her tumor. This has impacted her ability to breastfeed and completely focus her attention on her young family.    Erika feels very fortunate to have an outstanding support system during this time.  She has wonderful friends locally in Las Cruces, New Mexico though Erika is far from her roots and many loved ones.  The goal is to increase the level of support available to her by providing her with funds to help cover various expenses with her treatment and day to day living.  Some important expenses this can help cover are costs of medical treatment, shipments of breast milk from friends and family that reside in other states, and travel and housing expenses associated with her care.  Any donation will be greatly appreciated and allow Erika to focus her energy towards  her family, her health and her happiness.
