Cal Anderson BLM Medical Supplies

Over a week into the BLM Protests, volunteer medics have spent several hours almost every day at Cal Anderson Park and other protest areas. Due to repetitive attacked with tear gassing, flash bangs, and rubber bullets being fired along with direct property damage from police, a significant amount of medical supplies has been lost. Among our team and other medic teams, we have healthcare students, EMTs, Former or Current Nurses, Medical Residents, Mental health professionals, and more who are willing to help the best they can to this cause. All our supplies has been paid for out of pocket by ourselves or was graciously donated by some generous individuals. We have gone through quite a bit of supplies, and there is quite a bit we dont have yet. We would like to ask for your help! Even $1 helps go towards supplies for us. Anything extra will still go towards supplies. A list of what we currently need with prices: • Spine Board: $100-$150 • C-Collar: $10-$15 each • Head immobilizer: $50-$100 • Spineboard straps: $25-$50 • CAT Tourniquets: $50 each • EMT Shears: approx $10/piece • Glucose Test Strips: $30+ • Gear bag(s) : $50+ • Burn Dressings: approx $15 each • Naloxone: $40-$100 per dose • Epi-Pens: $100 • Gas Masks $100+ •Other Trauma Gear for our Trauma Team We need more supplies than this, as we often need to replenish the supplies we have right now, but these are our main things at the moment!
