Help- Kirstie's car was crushed by a cactus

On Friday night at 4 a.m., our neighbor's 3,000 lb, 30-year-old cactus fell over onto my son and his girlfriend's cars, crushing them and deeming them totaled.

We are thankful that no one was injured, but because the cars are older, the reimbursement from the insurance (if there is any at all) will be very little. This is heartbreaking. My son's girlfriend Kirstie worked very hard to save money for this car.

She works at a local retail store, making minimum wage. It will be difficult for her to work without a car, and it would take her a long time to save enough money to buy another one.

She is the sweetest person that I have ever known, and it breaks my heart. I set up this fundraiser, hoping that we might be able to raise enough to help her out. She truly deserves it. I wish there was more that I could do for her.
