We are Cal State Northridge Television Production students making our senior thesis project which is a ten minute TV pilot. We need to successfully produce this pilot in order to walk the stage and receive our diplomas in May!
Making a television pilot is not only a lot of work but also a big expense and every dollar counts. Our production is expected to cost about $5,000! With your help we can meet our goal!

Cheri Miller - Producer
My name is Cheri Miller. I'm a television major at Cal State Northridge and I am one of the two producers of our senior thesis. My interest in television production began in high school while taking a documentary film class. I have produced and directed numerous documentaries and short films. After graduation I hope to pursue my career as a writer producer in the television industry. My dream is to one day be the showrunner of my own show. Nathen Coyle - Producer
I am a TV production major at Cal State Northridge. I moved from San Diego in 2012 to pursue my passion for the entertainment business. I enjoy writing and editing and would like to be a showrunner on my own TV show one day! Please help us out on this great project so we all can graduate! Thank You!
Allan DeLeon - Director of Photography
My name is Allan De Leon. I am originally from Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico and I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15. I am majoring in Television Production at Cal State Northridge. I am one of two cinematographers of Detective Show, and I plan to pursue a career as a Director of Photography or camera operator for Film or TV. I’ve always been interested in cameras but it wasn’t until college when I decided to major in Television production. Some of my hobbies are kayaking, skateboarding and watching foreign films without subtitles to focus more on the cinematography. Thank you for helping us out to make our project a reality.
Alex Fraser - Sound
My name is Alex and I am in charge of sound for this project. That includes production and post production sound. I am also one of the writers. I came up with the idea for this project and co-wrote it with Kristen Saikali. So you could say this is my Brain Child. I have been making films and short videos since the beginning of high school which has lead me to wanting to do it for the rest of my life. When I graduate I want to work in post production sound, preferably as a sound editor. Other than Television, I have been playing piano and keyboards for over 8 years now. I taught myself long ago and have played in several bands and in several genres. This has carried on to help me a lot in sound production. I guess you could call me an audiophile. Thats me in a nutshell!
Nebiyu Dingetu - Editor
Hi, my name is Nebiyu Dingetu and I’m one of the two editors of Detective Show. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia which is located in the eastern part of Africa. I love the art of storytelling and I plan on pursuing a career as an editor for feature films and TV shows. This is my last semester in the Cinema and Television Arts program here at Cal State Northridge. Throughout my time at CSUN, I had the opportunity to edit several types of projects ranging from PSAs, documentaries and short films. I’m very excited to be a part of this senior thesis production group and I have no doubt that we’ll produce a project that will be entertaining and that we will all be proud of. Necmettin Sancak - Editor
I am Necmettin Sancak. I am student at CSUN majoring in TV Production. I made four short movies which were nominated at a couple festivals in Turkey. I am the Co-Founder and Executive Project Manager of the Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival. This year from May 2nd to the 9th, I will be the organizer and project manager for the Celebration of 100 Years of the Turkish Film Industry at LACMA.
Kristen Marquez - Production Designer
My name is Kristen Marquez and I'm a Cinema & Television Arts Major with a minor in Communication Studies. I enjoy watching movies and listening to all sorts of music, especially EDM! I enjoying acting, modeling, blogging and eating! I'm currently an intern at Fine Bros Entertainment. I've always been passionate about TV & Film and I enjoy collaborating ideas with people for future projects. I've produced two student projects called "BeatBox Royale" and "How To". I've done sound on my last project called "Now You Like Me" and I'm currently doing the production design for our Senior Thesis Project. Life is great and I'm grateful for everything I've accomplished and everything I'm about to accomplish.
