Caribbean Radio Lighthouse Shipment
Donation protected
As a missionary radio station, the Caribbean Radio Lighthouse broadcasts the good news of God's Word to the islands of the Eastern Caribbean. Located on the tropical island of Antigua, and operated by Baptist International Missions, Inc. (a 501(c)(3) organization), the station has been used by the Lord for 40 years to strengthen local churches by teaching and encouraging individual Christians through sound, Bible-based programming.
For 40 years, every visitor to the Caribbean Radio Lighthouse has come to the same metal studio building. That the metal building is still standing with the corrosive, Caribbean environment is quite a feat! Unfortunately, our building is showing its age due to rust and termites. Every year we hold our breath as we track the tropical storms and hurricanes coming through the Atlantic. Rather than building a new structure on the government-owned land, we believe the Lord is leading us to renovate one floor of one of our concrete-block, ministry buildings on the property owned by our mission board and relocate the radio station there.
In years past, CRL was given a large donation that was designated toward purchasing the land and/or renovating the studio building. We were graciously given permission by the donors to use those monies towards remodeling and moving to the ministry houses. Although these funds will cover most of the cost of our materials and supplies, we need help to cover the freight expenses of shipping a 40-foot container of supplies from the US to Antigua.
The shipment will be leaving the States on September 8th and hopefully arriving in Antigua on September 21st! We would GREATLY appreciate any help to cover these expenses! We know that God will greatly use these new facilities to spread His Gospel throughout the Eastern Caribbean islands and a huge burden of maintaining an old building and protecting equipment will be lifted from us. Will you allow God to use you to be a part of His work in the Caribbean?
