Please help us to learn online during COVID-19
Nelson Mandela strove to make education accessible to all. He challenged LEAP to educate and empower students. Let's not allow the gains achieved in the post-apartheid era to be lost against the COVID-19 backdrop.
We need:
· 600 Android mobile phones with data - $120.00 per student
· Food Parcels to feed a family for a month $32.00 per family
· Hand Sanitizers and Cleaning aids $4.00 per student
· Preventative Masks $2.00 per student
Invest:
$120 for an android mobile phone for a student
$1200 for an android phone, data, a food parcel, hand sanitizers and preventative masks for 1 (one) student per annum
$12000 for an android phone data, food parcels, hand sanitizers and preventative masks for 10 (ten) students per annum
Who We Are
During apartheid, black youth in South Africa were forbidden by law to learn science or math. 16 years ago, LEAP Science and Maths Schools were created to educate young people in some of South Africa’s poorest townships.

All these years, with no government assistance, our sponsors have sustained this life-changing education for our students. Because of the family connection LEAP creates, those who have progressed to University, return home, responsible productive citizens. Many are now our teachers, or have gone on to professions such as or including engineers, lawyers, doctors etc.
Today we have 6 schools educating 1600 students. With this proven model of a holistic quality education, we were poised to expand to at risk youth all over Africa and around the world.
Our LEAP Schools are endangered so we need support from you to protect our students from going back to an impoverished community.
· 1600 of our students cannot come to school.
· We have lost many of our sponsors.
· Those who can attend need protective masks, social distancing, thermometers, sanitizers and cleaning aids.
· Daily meals for our students and their families.
Please be the change you want to see. Help us in this moment of crisis. Support our talented, heart driven pupils who want to LEAP into becoming liberated, authentic global citizens, speaking truth to power in the 21st and 22nd centuries.
